Surgeons at National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH) successfully performed the world’s first heart transplant in which the donor heart continued beating throughout the procedure. This zero-ischemic method reduces risks linked to traditional transplants. The patient is recovering well and has been discharged, hospital officials confirmed.
